Last Night's Lightning

So, we've been getting some storms off and on for the past few months. Last night's was pretty intense. Some of the loudest, brightest, and closest I've experienced. Here's a snippet.

I proceeded to skype with Todd with the camera pointed towards the balcony where awesome views of the lightning could be witnessed. Also talked with G'ma for a bit too, but she wasn't able to see the video. It was good to get in touch. Anyways, till next time, goodbye for now!

Very Merry Pondicherry

Alright, this weekend I wanted to get out of the apartment and do something with my 3 days off instead of sitting around. So what started with a Monday day-trip to Mamallapuram to see the shore temple, has become a weekend at Pondicherry, a French Colony. I am here with Partha and his wife and child and of course Rama. Today, we arrived at our hotel, the Ocean Spray and were shown around to some rockin' rooms. While given the tour, i also looked around for the juice, but it seems as if they simply are not  related. What a total downer. After getting settled in a bit, we took off toward the town, where we visited a place where some famous person lived, whom i forget and will have to ask Partha about. Second, we visited a park where there were some areas for kids to play. Thirdly, we went to the beach with a rocky shore. The rain clouds rolling in made respite from the body-battering sun. So we walked around the shoreline for a bit and took in the ocean air, and relaxed. Then we headed back to the hotel and it started raining. For pictures captured from today's excursions, please reference my facebook page under the photo album "Pondicherry, Day 1."

Well, that's about it for now, but just one more thing before i go.

It has been said that i haven't been seen in any of the pictures i've taken and posted so far so:

Proof that i am indeed in India:

and proof that I have a heart:

Xbox Room

Well I've done it. I've moved my Xbox and TV into the only room in the apartment that i can hook up the modem and subsequently the router and then my xbox via Cat5 cable because i haven't bought a fifty foot cable or found a wireless adaptor yet.

The real question is; was it worth it?

The phone jack used, scares me. I'm going to have to do some game tests to see how it plays with people back home, to see if it's actually playable. At the very least it was fun to clean and re-arrange that room! :P

Mamallapuram 5-28-11

Wow. What a good time this was. I've posted the images I was able to take of Mamallapuram to my facebook page. Most of the photos I took were our drive there; it being an hour away. I captured a view of the beach there and inside a restaurant  we went to and a few pictures of the little shops there, but then the batteries died and wasn't able to take some photos of a really awesome park. I'll have to get some of those from Miles and Jenn. The places we went to were a bunch of little shops that created hand-crafted decorations and such. We also climbed around the park they have there where they have what i can only describe as small carved out cave/murals that are pretty ancient. They also have a bunch of ancient buildings there too. Lots and lots of boulders, and also the infamous butterball.

First day of Work

Started my first day of work at the Amnet office. Miles'/my office resides on he 6th floor where most of the Amnet crew dedicated to Logos works. We had a meeting with Ashish (The CEO of Amnet) and Partha (The project manager at Amnet for Logos) and later on had lunch with Partha at a place called Dhabba Express, where we had some awesome northern Indian cuisine. It was a hot and humid day, but kept frozen in the office with the AC at my back
