Mamallapuram 5-28-11

Wow. What a good time this was. I've posted the images I was able to take of Mamallapuram to my facebook page. Most of the photos I took were our drive there; it being an hour away. I captured a view of the beach there and inside a restaurant  we went to and a few pictures of the little shops there, but then the batteries died and wasn't able to take some photos of a really awesome park. I'll have to get some of those from Miles and Jenn. The places we went to were a bunch of little shops that created hand-crafted decorations and such. We also climbed around the park they have there where they have what i can only describe as small carved out cave/murals that are pretty ancient. They also have a bunch of ancient buildings there too. Lots and lots of boulders, and also the infamous butterball.

I LOVE the hippo pictures! SO CUTE! And soooo Mahabs. You handled the heat and "flavor" of India at it's finest well and I am glad. This place is fantastic. It grows on you and in many ways it has overtaken me. I pray this experience will be as rich for you as it was for me. Take it all in. Breath it in slowly and be sure to look for the beauty in things because it is there...just not always easy to see. You will do great! -Jenn
